Sunday July 10, 2011

I wanted to take Joan to Orleans today, since there are about six Tim Horton’s there and we only have pictures of two. However when I got on the Queensway at Kirkwood Ave. the eastbound traffic was down to one lane at the Carling Ave. exit and was backed up till Greenbank Ave.; it was like a parking lot. I picked Joan up at around 10:45 this morning.

Since the Orleans destination was out of the question I opened my laptop and we looked through our Tim Horton’s log (this is a word document where we list all the Tim Horton’s and indicated whether we have visited it and whether we have a picture). The log showed that we’d been to 2100 hunt club but didn’t have a picture, so that was our destination. I phoned and they said they were an “On the Run” which meant we’d need to go to another Tim Horton’s for the bagel. As it turn out there was another Tim Horton’s at 1665. Well I must be loosing it because as we reached the intersection of Hunt Club and
Bank Street I knew exactly where we were headed.

Since we came this far I figure to hell with it we’ll go to 2100 Hunt Club for the tea and 1665 Hunt Club for the bagel and we went back to 2100 Hunt Club to eat. I also decided that I would take a serious look at our Tim Horton log and my blog and my daily journal and make sure all three are up to date (especially the log). We didn’t want to go back on hunt club and since we were at Conroy we decided to take it and see where it led us. Evenly we ended up at Conroy and walkley road and I knew where we were so we took Walkley Road to Heron Ave. and Heron Ave. to Baseline Road and down through he experimental farm to Island Park Drive to
Richmond Road.

We went to Glenn’s chip wagon for hotdogs and fries for lunch. I took Joan home around
1:00.

Sunday July 03, 2011

I picked Joan up at around 10:00 today. We’re going to the Tim Horton’s in Embrun today. We took the 417 and got off on HWY 33 which took us to Embrun

We found the Tim Horton’s and ordered our tea and bagel. Then we drove down the street and parked along the side of the street under a shaded tree and ate our snack. We also stopped in at a garage sale but there wasn’t anything interesting so we left. We drove around a bit and then we head back to HWY 33 and the 417. We got off on Parkdale ave. exit and headed down toWellington Street heading for Richmond Road so we could go to Glenn’s chip wagon for lunch. As we approached we noticed Glenn's wasn’t there so instead we went to Donna’s Express to split bacon and fried egg sandwich.

I took Joan home around 12:30.
