Sunday June 27, 2010. I picked joan up at 10:15 and she was waiting for me in the lobby (with her pills and her board), and when I opened the doors she just started laughing at me. She was so proud of herself. I told her we were going to gatineau today.

We got on the Qweensway and over the Place de Portage bridge and got on the Quebec Qweensway and got off on boul. de Maloney and then to boul. Greber.




I had a tea and Joan wanted a capuccino and we also oredered a bagel. We drove across the street to the IGA and had our breakfast.




We drove aroud the neighbourhood for a while and then we headed south on Greber to go back to Ottawa. On the way we noticed a sign for lac Leamy, so we turned and headed in to park. Along the drive we saw groundhog after groundhog, they were everywhere. We got to the end of the road and stopped to look at the lake.









Then we left the park and headed back to Ottawa and went to Donna's Restaurant for lunch. We split a bacon sandwich.




Then we headed up Churchill Street to catch the Qweensway and take Joan home, but as we drove up Churchill I noticed a coffee table and thought maybe my friend Joanne we would want it. So I stopped to take a look at it and it wwas in good shape. I phoned Joanne and left a message and as we were on Carling Ave. she called. I pulled over to the side of the road and Joanne said she would take it, so back to Churchill. As I was loading the table into the trunk a jogger came by and said that the matching end table was just down the street. So I called Joanne and asked her to join us and she could put it into her car. I asked Joan if she would mind waiting (since we usually go home right after lunch, cause Joan tires easily) but she seemed to be enjoying the adventure so she kept saying "no" she would be fine.









Well twenty minutes later Joanne arrived. We put the end table in her car and got back on the road. When we arrived home at Joan's she kept saying how tired she was. We put Joan to bed and then headed to Joanne's to unload the coffee table and end table.

Sunday June 20, 2010. I picked Joan up today at 10:15 and we jumped on the Queensway and headed to Orleans.

We stopped at the Tim Horton's on St. Joseph's Blvd and got our tea and bagel and headed up to the end of the street to eat our breakfast.





Then we drove around Orleans just to see what the city had to offer.

Got back on the Queensway and headed for St. Laurent Blvd and headed for the graveyard on Montreal road. Stayed for a few minutes and checked the hosta I planted last month. Doesn't look like it's going to survive, oh well back to the drawing board to see what kind of plant I can find the will grow in a southern exposure.

Then we headed downtown to the Colonnade Restaurant to order an Hawaiian pizza for lunch.

Got back on the Queensway and headed to Kanata to take Joan home. We arrived at 12.45.

Friday June 11, 2010. Kristal (Joan's daughter) called last night and said they were having a birthday party for the eldest son Joshua on Friday between 4:00 pm and 7:00pm and she asked me if I would bring Joan. So I picked Joan up at 3.30 on Friday and we headed to Kristal's place.

W e took the Queensway to the 416 and go off on Fallowfield and then onto Strandherd to go to Tim Horton's and get a tea before we went to Kristal's. But before we went to Tim's we stopped off at my friend Lorie's to say hello (she lives on Strandherd) .

We got to Tim Horton's (an On the Run) and ordered our tea, and then headed to Kristal's.








When we arrived they were in the park across the street with all the kids playing games, so I drove the car right into the park on the the pathways and stopped just where they were at.




The kids played games for awhile and then we went back to Kristal's.







Then all the kids went swimming and then the pizzas arrived and we ate. Joshua then opened his gifts.








I took Joan home around 6:30.

Tuesday June 8, 2010

Tuesday June 8, 2010. I wasn't feeling well on Sunday and so I didn't go see Joan, so I picked her up today at 10:00 and we headed to Gatineau.

The first Tim Horton's we went to was at 327 boul Maloney Est. We ordered our usual tea and bagel with peanut butter. Then we went across the street to an empty lot to enjoy our breakfast.












Then we drove around and stopped at a Giant Tiger (looking for another portable tea mug, since I lost mine). Looked around and they didn't have any. Then we stopped at a Jean Couteau and couldn't find any there.

We then headed for the second Tim Horton's on boul Maloney Est. Since it was lunch time we order a ham and Swiss for Joan and a turkey bacon for me. We drove across the street and ate our lunch in another empty lot.











Then we jumped on the highway 50 and headed back to Ottawa and then the Queensway to take Joan home.


After dropping Joan off I headed to the Wal-Mart in Centrum Square and finally found some mugs. I bought 2.
