Monday May 30, 2011

Yesterday was a miserable rainy day so I didn’t take Joan out, but I am going to see her today. We are going to go the Tim Horton’s in the Canada Post building on Riverside Drive.

I picked Joan up at 10.30 and we got on the Queens way and got off on Bronson Ave to Riverside Drive. We found the Tim Horton’s in the cafeteria which is in a small building just south (on Riverside Drive) from the Main Post Office. It didn’t have a drive through so I parked the car just besides the building and went in to order our teas and our bagel. Then we turned the car around and parked on the side of a street under a shady tree and ate our snack.

While there I called Paul to return his message he left on Friday. Then we left and took Riverside Drive and through the experimental farm to Carling Ave. Then down Carling Ave. to Holland Ave. so we could go to Hillary’s Cleaners on Wellington Street. I needed to drop my suit off to be cleaned.

Then we headed to Anna's place to say "Hello" and also put in an order for Joanne’s and my smokes. Then we headed back to Richmond road to have lunch (hot and fries) at Glenn’s Chip Wagon.

I dropped Joan off at 1:30.

Saturday May 21, 2011

Saturday May 21. I am going to pick Joan up and we are going to join our sisters Lorna and Sharon for lunch. I picked Joan up at around 10:15 and put her wheel chair in the car and we headed to Aylmer.

W e arrived at Sharon’s place around 11:00 and Sharon helped me put the chair together. Lorna arrived about 15 minutes later and we sat on the back patio and had our tea and chatted. Around 12:30 Sharon and Lorna made us lunch. We had ham and egg sandwiches. We all went for a walk to the river and then around the block to see the new construction in the area.

Around 1:30 I drove Joan home.

Friday May 13, 2011

Friday May 13, 2011. The weather channel says it’s going to rain all weekend so I’ve decided to take Joan out today. This way we can go to Carlton University an try another of the four Tim Horton’s.

I picked Joan up at 10:20 and we headed for Bronson ave. We had the map that the clerk gave us the last time we were at the campus so we were able to find the parking lot we needed and I was able to find the building where the Tim Horton’s was. We stayed in the parking lot to have our snack.

We left the campus and headed up Sunnyside Street to Bank Street looking for a flouriest. Stopped a lady on the side walk and she suggested Bellium’s on 4th ave. I went in and bought a bouquet of flowers for Irene as it was her 90th birthday on May 11.

Then we went to Pat and Irene’s. Irene wasn’t feeling well so I went to her bedroom to deliver the flowers and then Pat joined Joan and me outside for a visit. We stayed for about half an hour and then left. We went to Donna’s express to split a bacon sandwich. I drove Joan home around 1:00.

Sunday May 08, 2011.

Sunday May 8. I picked Joan up at around 10:30 this morning. Since its mother’s day we’re going to mom’s grave. We went to the “On the Run” on MontrĂ©al road. They only had coffee/tea and donuts. So I made the tea and left and went back to the car which was parked in the Tim Horton’s across the street.

I kind of figured the "On the Run" wouldn't have bagels so that’s why we parked at the Tim Horton’s across the street because after giving Joan the teas I went in and ordered our bagel. The we went up the street to the grave yard and ate our snack. The grave looks good, the evergreen shrub is doing well, needs a slight trim which I ‘m will do when we came back for father’s day. However the plant, a hossta, died. We went for a drive and then went to the parkdale market to get Joan some flowers. Joan was a bit sad today, she thought she might spend some time with her daughter and grandchildren today, but they had to attend Mason’s gymnastic tournament. Then we went to Glenn’s chip wagon for hot dogs and a French fries, which we split.

Then around 1:00 I dropped Joan off at the nursing home. On entering the home we saw two beautiful dogs. The owner brought one of them to Joan so she could pet him (Travis).

Sunday May 1, 2011

Sunday May 1. I called the Tim Horton’s first and found out the one I chose to go to today was located in the Billing’s Bridge Mall.

I picked Joan up at 10:30 and we headed to Riverside Drive. When we got to the mall I asked this lady if she was familiar with the mall and if so she knew where it was located. She told me and so we headed towards the entrance and found a disabled parking spot and I went into the mall. The Tim Horton’s was on the second floor. Tim Horton’s was having a special that when you but a coffee or tea the bagels were only $0.69, so since Joan and I always have a bagel with our tea I bought two. That was a bad idea, since Joan and I usually split the bagel we found that with two it was a bit too much.

We phoned Sharon’s friend Caroline who lives on Kilburn and she was home so we went and had a visit with her. It was a short visit as she had to leave to take her sister to the train station. We left and went for a drive. We drove past Ola’s place but she wasn’t home and neither was Anna.

So then we went to Donna’s Express and split a bacon sandwich. I took Joan home around 1:00.
