Sunday February 20, 2011. I picked Joan up at 10:30 today. We took Hunt Club Road to Prince of Whales; we’re going to the Tim Horton’s on HWY 16.



We ordered our usual and stayed in the parking lot to eat our snack. Then we went for a drive down Hwy 16.

Then taking Merivale Road we headed back into Ottawa. I pulled over and we phoned the Colonnade Restaurant in Kanata and ordered a pizza.


Then we continued on Merivale Road till we got to the Queen’s way and headed for Kanata. We ate the pizza in the car in the parking lot.

I took Joan home at 12:30.

Sunday February 13, 2011. I picked Joan up at 10:30 today. We went to the Tim Horton’s on Merivale Road this morning. We ordered our usual, two teas and a bagel with peanut butter.





We stayed in the Tim Horton’s parking lot to eat our snack.

We phoned Lorna and she was home so we said we’d drop by to say hello and pick up my scarf and cake stand. Then we went to Richmond Road to see if Glenn’s chip wagon was there but it wasn’t so we went to Donna’s Express on Churchill Ave to split a bacon and egg sandwich.

I took Joan home at 12:30.

Sunday February 6, 2011. I arrived at Joan’s at 10:30. We’re going to the Tim Horton’s on Industrial Ave. If I had not googled and phoned this Tim Horton’s on Saturday I don’t think we would have ever found this place. It was connected to the Pioneer gas station, but it was behind the building.




They had a drive through but it was the oddest set-up we ever seen. We ordered are usual, two teas and a bagel and we stayed in the parking lot and ate our snack. Then we took a drive along Riverside Drive and ended up on Baseline Road. We stopped at the new Wal-Mart at Baseline Road and Maitland Ave and called Mark and Hang (who live in that neighbourhood) but they weren’t home. We decided to order a pizza and I called the Colonnade in Kanata and ordered our lunch.

As we were going down Maitland Ave and heading for the Queen’s way we decided to take a detour to Ann’s to drop off her smokes. When we arrived she had Ola, Claudette and Pamela (Claudette’s sister) there to help her moved boxes to her new house. Each lady came over to say hello to Joan. We left and hopped on the queen’s way and headed to the Colonnade restaurant on Hazeldean for our pizza. Around 12:30 I took Joan home.

Thursday February 3, 2011. My sister Lorna phoned me the other day and told me that Gwen (the women who had the suite next to our sister Joan) had died on Monday night. So today I am going in to spend some time with Joan.


I stopped at the Tim Horton's on Hazeldean Road and picked up the usual, two teas and a bagel. I believe that each time I use this Tim Horton's I get the same server (Donna).












Arrived at Joan's at 11:00 and we ate in her room. Then we went to the garage to have a smoke. Usually when I come in with Tim Horton's Joan skips lunch, but today as we rode the elevator with the servers and their food carts Joan decided to have lunch. so I stayed and helped serve the Joan and the other residents. Joan finished lunch and we went back to her room and put Joan to bed and left at 12:30.
