Sunday March 28, 2010. Picked Joan up at 10:15 this morning; when I arrived she was waiting at the elevator and when the doors opened she started laughing.

We headed downtown, looking for the Tim Horton's on Laurier. Found it but the store was closed, so we headed for the Tim Horton's on Rideau Street in the Rideau Centre Mall.





I parked right up on the sidewalk. We had the usual, tea and a bagel with peanut butter.







We then decided to take a drive down Sussex Drive, heading towards Rockcliffe Park.







We stopped at the Govener Generals Estate to see if we could drive around and see the grounds, but the guard Ian said "No".

We then drove around Rockcliffe Park checking out the homes. Some homes were old, almost cottage like, while others were very large modern homes.

We saw this one home that had a huge gate house at the entrance with an arched driveway. The home was huge; not sure if it was some sort of embassy or not. We drove around for about a hour then headed back downtown looking for the Colonnade Pizza.

We found the Colonnade Pizza and we ordered a personal Hawaiian pizza to go.


We finished the pizza and headed home; arrived around 1:00.

Sunday March 21, 2010. I picked Joan up this morning at 10:15. We headed for Hunt Club Road. We used the Queensway again; we find you can get to the east end faster this way. Got off at the St. Laurent Blvd exit and headed south.

We found the Tim Horton's and had our usual coffee for Joan and tea for me and we split a multi-grain bagel. We drove up the road a few blocks and turned into a home construction site to have our breakfast.


Then we got back on Hunt Club and headed for the the Esso gas station at the corner of Island park Drive and Richmond Road to fill up and car and go through the car wash.

We stopped at Donna's restaurant for lunch. We split a bacon sandwich. While in the restaurant I ran into Kalvin, our second cousin (the second son of our first cousin Patrick).




I took Joan home around 12:45.

Sunday March 14, 2010. I picked Joan up at 10:15 today. We got on the Queens Way and headed for the Tim Horton's on Alta Vista Drive. Joan had a coffee and I had a tea and we split a bagel.

Roll-up the-rim contest is back and we ordered mediums (the contest doesn't apply to small which is what we usually order). We didn't win.

We drove south on Riverside Drive and then turned north onto Bank Street just for a drive. We then headed for the Kentucky Fried Chicken on Wellington Street in Mechanic's ville.

Then we went to the Pardale Avenue to check out the construction on the new Parkdale Market and have our lunch.

We arrived home around 12:30.

Saturday March 6, 2010. I switched my day to take Joan out with my sister Lorna because her grandchildren Maeve Jordon and Evan Malone are in town from Toronto with their parents Micheal and Carmen. I picked Joan up around 10:15 and we're going straight to Lorna's place because Maeve takes her nap at 11:00 and we don't want to put her off her schedule.

We got to Lorna's at 10:35. Lorna, Michael,Carmen and the kids plus Sharon (our sister) and Mark (Lorna's other son) were all there waiting for us. We stayed for about twenty minutes to see the kids and then we left to go to Tim Horton's.


We went to the one on Richmond Road since it was close by. We got our bagel and teas and headed to my place so I could get my laptop and show Joan our blog. She was really impressed. While looking at the blog I played a CD released by our cousin (Des); Joan was really moved.



(last time we saw Maeve was at her christening back in March 2009 and Evan was just born this past December)








We drove around for awhile and then went to Donna's Restaurant and split a bacon sandwich. Then I took Joan home.

Sunday February 28, 2010. I picked Joan up just after 10:00 today and we were headed to Hunt Club Road so we took the Queensway and got off on St. Laurent Blvd and headed south.



We finally ended up on Hawthorne Road and found a Tim Horton’s.


W e continued heading south on Hawthorne and we eventually found Hunt Club Road. We drove down Hunt Club and counted the Tim Horton's as we headed west. There were six (6) in all, however we had already visited one; the one at Prince of Whales and Hunt Club.


We drove through Bell’s Corners and headed to Kanata and we stopped at Wendy’s on Edgewater. We had hamburgers and french fries for lunch.






After lunch I took Joan home.
